You know the guy. Maybe he's you. He can fit in with any crowd, but inside he's different. This wallet is for him. From its exterior it appears like a traditional bifold wallet, but open it up and its distinctions emerge. It is full of interesting angles, corners, and details. Two angled card slots orient the cards at an incline to make them more easily accessible. These are the for the cards you need most frequently. An additional horizontal pocket rests behind each of the angled pockets for more cards allowing this wallet to accommodate 8-10 credit cards with ease. There is also a cash compartment for your bills. The top and bottom edges of the cash compartment are reinforced with a strip of leather that runs along the length.
Each wallet is constructed from full grain camel leather, which has 3 times the shear strength of cowhide. Having 10 times the collagen fiber density of cow leather, it has a truly unique texture and grain.
Every 13º Bifold is cut and stitched by hand using luxury French Fil Au Chinois "lin câblé" thread coated with beeswax. This the same thread used exclusively by craftsmen for Hermes and Louis Vuitton. Every stitch is made by hand using the long-lasting saddle stitch. Even if a stitch is cut, it will not pull out like a stitch made by a sewing machine.

Why camel leather?
Our choice to use camel leather is intentional. The camel leather we use is ethically-sourced, which means camels are not raised for leather.
Also, our camel leather is tanned using a chrome-free process. Avoiding the use of toxic chemicals to make this leather allows the tannery to recycle 80% of the water and to compost the waste. From an environmental standpoint, this is very important. On the sustainability side, it is also important to note that camels require up to 40X less water than cows, which significantly reduces their impact on the environment.
Cool fact: Camel leather is up to 3X stronger than cow leather, and softer.
Every one of our items is completely designed and made by hand without machines in our California studio.
